Introduction to Precious Metal Clay

All classes are on Thursdays from 6 to 8 pm

Two sessions 2 hours each $35 per person

Learn the basics of PMC and create a pendent for yourself or a gift. If you want to come in for extra studio time, you need to sign up for that time separately. Materials fee $50 due at the start of the class. Additional packs of PMC available at $48 each. Maximum 12 students. Students may repeat the class and make different projects, but must pay the class fee each time. This class needs a minimum of 2 students to run. Teacher: Paula Atwell

One-on-One Precious Metal Clay Instruction

By appointment only $20 per hour 2 hour minimum includes use of kiln

Individual instruction by appointment. Materials fee determined per student due at the start of the class. Additional packs of PMC available at $48 each. Teacher: Paula Atwell

Precious Metal Clay Studio Time

By appointment only $6 per hour

Individual use of the studio by appointment. Bring your own materials and tools. Additional fees for materials as used. Additional packs of PMC available at $48 each.

Beginning Beading

First Thursday of every month starting June 10, 2010 6 to 8 pm. You may repeat the class without paying the materials fee more than one time to finish your project.

6 pm to 8:30 pm One session 2 1/2 hours $30 per person. $25 materials fee. Students will learn how to make a simple basic bracelet with copper and freshwater pearls, using tools, wire, crimps and adding a clasp. Students can bring their own beads, however, copper, pearls, beading wire, crimps and clasps will be provided by instructor. Maximum 12 students. Teacher: Paula Atwell

How to Squidoo

How to Squidoo is a two hour course that will give you an introduction on how to create a webpage on Squidoo.com. Squidoo is a free website to use, and is a good place to get your feet wet online. You can market, sell, write,and insert pictures on a Squidoo webpage, as well as link to any other website you like. Bring your laptop to class. Wifi Available.

How to Hubpages

How to Hubpages is a two hour course that will give you an introduction on how to create a webpage on Hubpages.com. Hubpages is a free website to use, a place for writers, and anyone else who would like to market or write articles to earn money. Money is earned on Hubpages through Adsense, Amazon, and Ebay affiliate memberships. Bring your laptop to class. Wifi Available. Taught by Paula Atwell –author of over 200 Hubpages articles Monday June 7—4 to 6 pm $20 per person

How to Create a Website on Wordpress

How to Create a Website on Wordpress is a two hour course designed to give you the basics of setting up a Wordpress website/blog. We will walk through the set up pages for a new Wordpress site, and chose a theme, widgets, and plugins to make it work. If you have questions about an existing Wordpress website bring them along. Bring your laptop to class. Wifi Available.

Affiliate Marketing 101

Affiliate Marketing 101 is a two hour course basic introduction to Affiliate Marketing online. We will go over what affiliate marketing is, how to become an affiliate marketer, what you need to get started, and what are some good companies to affiliate with. I will walk you through the steps of adding an ad to your website if you already have one, and tell you the steps if you don’t. Bring your laptop to class. Wifi Available.

Introduction to Glass Fusing

Dates TBA 6 pm to 8:30 One session 2 1/2 hours each $35 per person. Materials Fee $20

Learn the technique of fused glass jewelry making. Make 3 pieces out of fused glass, your choice of pendant, pins, or earrings. Maximum 12 students. Teacher: Jennifer Szalkowski

Waterfall Earrings

Made with a slight variation of the classic European Chain Maille pattern, the same pattern used to make knights chain maille, these earrings will shimmer gracefully with your every move. Learn how to weave non-tarnish .925 Argentium Sterling Silver jump rings into this beautiful pair of earrings during this 2 hour class. Ear wires are included.

Byzantine Earring Variations

Learn how to weave non-tarnish .925 Argentium Sterling Silver jump rings into one section of the Byzantine pattern, and then turn the basic pattern into different variations, creating 3 pairs of earrings! Ear wires and pliers will be provided during this 2 hour class.

Love Knot Rings and Variations

Saturday, August 10, 2010 10 am to 12 noon

The Love Knot ring is said to date from the medieval era, when a young man tied silk ribbon around his true love’s finger. You’ll learn how to make this ring, and several variations, out of non-tarnish .925 Argentium Sterling Silver during this 2 hour class.

Make Your Own Ear Wires and Clasps

Never run out of ear wires again! Learn how to make 4 different styles of ear wires and two different clasps in this 2 hour class. Non-tarnish, .925 Argentium Sterling Silver and tools will be provided.

Byzantine Bracelet

Learn how to make this gorgeous, intricate bracelet in the timeless Byzantine chain maille weave during this 2 hour class. The jump rings, clasp and eye are all made from beautiful non-tarnish .925 Argentium Sterling Silver. Students may or may not finish this bracelet during the 2 hour class; additional class time may be scheduled later if the student wishes more instruction.
