Cleveland Garlic Festival

Cleveland's first annual Garlic Festival arrived at historic Shaker Square on the eastern edge of Cleveland, Ohio near Shaker Heights and Cleveland Heights, Ohio suburbs in fall 2010.  Lake Erie Artists Gallery was proud to participate in this event sponsored by North Union Farmers' Market, an organization decidicated to bringing fresh, local produce to northeastern Ohioans, supporting the local economy and small businesses, and keep Ohio land producing food and supporting families, which saves farms from destruction.

“This is a natural outgrowth of our seven markets and their close connection with all of the Cleveland area’s top chefs who purchase products at our markets,” states Donita Anderson, Executive Director of the North Union Farmers’ Market. She continues, “This event showcases the tremendous culinary talent here in Northeast Ohio. Many people are not aware that Ohio garlic has a singular special quality because of the soil. This means greater anti-viral health and most importantly, the best garlic in the world!”

Looking forward to 2012, the Cleveland Garlic Festival will return again as an annual event, to Shaker Square September 8th and 9th, 2012.  Lake Erie Artists Gallery will participate in this event once again.
