Wesley Washington
Singer Songwriter

Wesley Washington is a dynamic singer songwriter that plays acoustic and electric guitar. He is a local to Cleveland, Ohio, but has lived in other areas--Hawaii, New Mexico, Colorado, South Carolina, Massachusetts--to build his musical sensitivity and skill. Some compare him to Jimmi Hendrix, Ben Harper, Tracey Chapman, and Seal. Others say,"He just has his own style. I love his music!"
Wesley Washington's goals are to entertain, but also to inspire the nation to be more aware of its surrounding and national issues. The music stems from personal experiences, journal entries, and divine compulsions. Wesley performs, produces, markets, and distributes original music. His music is not from the usual sound pallet offered by corporate radio stations. Wesley's genre is to be a blend of Soul, R&B, Hip-Hop, Rock, Blues and Flamenco Guitar. The music is meant to connect with the pulse of man, woman, and child and move the atmosphere.
Wesley has a unique method of marketing. He is implementing a grassroots method of selling his album and playing music. For the past two years while Wesley has been in Cleveland he has busked all over the city and played at numerous venues. In 2008, he
sold at least 5,000 personally illustrated and signed cds in the Greater Cleveland area face to face. In 2009, Wesley Washington started another project called Cloud9 with one of Cleveland's great underground singers of R&B Jimmi Love. The Cloud9 project was a duo of smooth acoustic guitar and soothing R&B lyrics and Soul. This year Wesley Washington's plate is fairly full. He now teaches an ASCAB capoeira school at Studio 11 in Tremont on Saturdays from 3 pm-5 pm. Wesley is also working on a project with an amazing drummer Avonte.
Wesley Washington plays at Lake Erie Artists Gallery every Saturday from 10 am - 12 noon at Shaker Square. Come and enjoy!
Dee Hall
heads, hearts, and hands
Dee's story (in her own words)
As I look back on it. . I was always what you would call creative. As a child I was turning grocery boxes into doll houses, pasta and string into jewelry, paper and scraps of fabric into outfits for my dolls. As a teen I was "styling" myself like my favorite TV characters. And as a college student and young adult I found myself singing in a band and using fans and gloves to create an identity for myself on stage. . .Then came the upwardly mobile eighties when i threw myself headlong into developing a career in sales. Fast forward thirty years in business development, media and event marketing for several media, entertainment and lifestyle corporations and suddenly I found myself at a career juggernaut.
And heads, hearts, and hands was born.
Through heads, hearts, and hands, I market my own line of handmade artistic headwear and accessories. Now, every day I have an amazing opportunity to transform a variety of raw materials into unique, functional wearable art that is both fashion forward and price accessible.
These days, I channel my creative energy through materials like straw, felt and other natural and synthetic fibers to create work that fits the lifestyle of today's woman. For my client a hat "tops off" her external individual statement. She doesn't need an occasion to wear a hat. . .a hat can augment her personal fashion statement every day! While my core business is millinery, I also create and resell gloves, wraps and other accessories. . .so the name "heads, hearts, and hands" reflects my product line.
My Life in a Blender. . .
"My Life in a Blender" is a reflection on how the many events of the 60's and 70's shaped, motivated and propelled me on my life journey. I hope you enjoy the work!
