Embossing and Metal Stamping Classes for 2013
Learn to emboss and stamp metal altered blanks using new techiques from an experienced jewelry artist.
Make metal jewelry to wear or give as a gift. We are adding new classes during the week and on Saturdays. Check for new dates.

Dog Tag Necklace (Wine and Art Party Class)
Dates:
Thursday May 9 5 pm to 7 pm
Create a dog tag necklace using the techniques of stamping and patina. With altered blanks made from brass and copper, we will learn to stamp into the metal, then add patina to make the stamps more apparent. Students will also add beads to embellish the pieces. It is easy to personalize these pieces using letter stamps for names, or number stamps for special dates. In addition to dog tag shaped blanks, we will have other shapes to work with.
Supplies and tools are provided, but you can buy more supplies during class.

Personalized Metal Stamped Earrings (BYOB Class)
Dates:
Friday May 10 2 pm to 4 pm
Create a pair of personalized metal stamped earrings using the techniques of stamping and patina. With altered blanks made from brass and copper, we will learn to stamp into the metal, then add patina to make the stamps more apparent. Students can also add beads to embellish the pieces. It is easy to personalize these pieces using letter stamps for names, or number stamps for special dates.

Mini Journal Pendant (BYOB Class)

Thursday April 11 5 pm to 7 pm
Wednesday May 22 2 pm to 4 pm
Create a Mini Journal Pendant using the techniques of embossing, and riveting. Using altered brass blanks we will create a Mini Journal Pendant by designing and decorating the blanks with embossing ink, patinas, and riveting additional elements. Each Mini Journal Pendant will consist of two altered blanks that are connected in a book fashion. Example above.

Distressed Copper and Brass Earrings (BYOB Class)

Friday April 19 5 pm to 7 pm
Create Distressed Earrings using the techniques of embossing, and patina. Using altered brass and copper blanks we will create two pair of Distressed Earrings by designing and decorating the blanks with embossing ink and patinas.
All tools and supplies for the class will be provided.

Trees Earrings (BYOB Class)

Saturday June 1 11 am to 1 pm
Create Trees Earrings using the techniques of embossing, and by adding beaded drops. Using altered arte metal blanks from Vintaj we will create a pair of Trees Earrings by embossing and finishing the blanks and adding our drops with beads and wire.
