Mindy Sand is a local Cleveland, Ohio artist who specializes in both ceramics and hand painted glass. Lake Erie Artists Gallery is proud to be carrying Mindy Sand's hand painted glass.
Each piece of the hand painted glassware is signed individually by Mindy Sand, and the colors are vibrant and beautiful. All of the glassware is able to be washed either by hand or in a dishwasher which makes it convenient and easy to use. The paint is a special glass paint that is fired into the glass making it permanent.
Mindy Sand says:
"My glassware is colorful and fun. Each piece is hand painted using glazes that are fired at a low temperature. For me painting on glass is like a watercolor artist painting on a canvas. My style is contemporary, using lines, patterns, and colors. I create playful and functional pieces of art that make you smile. My glassware makes a unique gift, and creates a presentation that makes every dish taste better. . .especially martinis!"
