Lise Anderson began making jewelry in 1985 in Los Angeles, creating jewelry to wear on stage with her rock band. Her first account was the gift store at the Museum of Contemporary Art in L.A. Her work soon was being sold in galleries across the country, and overseas, including Japan.
Her original designs are in the collections of Whoopi Goldberg, Teri Garr, chef Wolfgang Puck, Roseanne Barr, and Lenny Kravitz, among others.
Her work is made mainly from vintage (25 years or older) or antique (50 years or older) glass. She scours the east coast for warehouses full of unused glass stones and components, buying 50 lbs. at a time. In this way she can find the most unusual, the most whimsical pieces to create with.
Her earwires are all made from nickel-free sterling or nickel-free gold, thus making them wearable by the most sensitive ears!
