Copper Clay

I have decided that it is time for me to experiment with the BronzeClay and CopperClay in my own studio. I have been reluctant to get involved with it for two reasons, really. The first is that I really like working with Precious Metal Clay. I like silver better, and I love what I can do with it.

The second reason is that if you work with either the BronzeClay or CopperClay, you need to have an entire second group of tools, and special firing materials. If it was just the firing materials, it wouldn’t be so bad, but I really do not want to buy another set of tools. I have a set that I have had for quite some time, and keeping others separate from the first set would be a mess.

I don’t know the scientific nature of the problem, but I do know that you cannot mix the unfired silver with the unfired bronze or copper. I bought the CopperClay a while ago, and just need to get some tools, the firing materials, and I am good to go.
